What Kids Learned at Our Spring Camp (Day 1)
Today was the second day of camp, and we continued using the Engineering Design Process to help students turn their ideas into digital creations. Students started with imagination and sketching, then moved on to planning and creating, and finally completed their own digital cards.
Throughout the process, students learned how to clearly express their ideas and refine their designs step by step, making their projects more complete and personalized.
We also introduced AI as a creative tool, focusing on how to use it effectively. Students practiced writing stronger prompts by being clear, adding details, and thinking about the purpose of their design. We emphasized that AI is not meant to replace creativity, but to support and enhance their original ideas.
During the hands-on portion, students combined their own ideas with AI support to develop and improve their designs. By the end of the session, each student created their own unique digital piece, reflecting their creativity and personal style.
Overall, it was a great day of creativity, exploration, and learning how to turn ideas into meaningful projects.
