ROBO adventures & AI Exploration Camp

Date: June 29 - July 4

A Hands-On LEGO Robotics and Coding Camp for Kids Ages 6–12

What makes a robot smart? How does it know what to do? And what happens when something goes wrong — and your team has to fix it?

+ Early Exposure to Coding and Robotics

+ Hands-On Learning

+ STEAM Education Enhancement

+ Real-World Problem Solving

  • Children explore what AI really means through the "AI or Not AI?" game, then brainstorm their robot mission and get hands-on with LEGO Spike Prime for the first time.

  • Teams finalize their robot's features and build plan, then begin constructing the chassis — fitting motors and wheels and coding their first movement sequences.

  • Children dive into sensors with a crash course, then build and code their robot's sensor systems, testing how the robot responds to its environment.

  • The full robot is tested end-to-end, bugs are identified and fixed collaboratively, and teams prepare their mission briefing poster for the showcase.

  • Mission Showcase Day — teams complete their mission control setup, run their robot through its final mission, and celebrate with a Certificate Ceremony.

About the Activities

In our robotics and AI camp in Vancouver, children are the engineers. Using LEGO Spike Prime, they design, build, code, and test a robot capable of completing a real mission. Along the way, they learn what artificial intelligence actually means — not as a buzzword, but as a set of real tools that help machines make decisions.

This coding robotics camp opens with a mission brief. Teams brainstorm, sketch their robot's chassis, build motors and wheels, program movement and sensors using block coding, and spend the latter half of the week testing, debugging, and improving. Friday ends with a Mission Showcase and Certificate Ceremony.

This AI camp for children near Vancouver is for young engineers who want to roll up their sleeves. When the robot doesn't turn the right way, they figure out why. When the sensor misfires, they debug the code. Real challenge, real learning, real pride.
